Born in Mexico, Celia moved to the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago where she would meet her husband, Hermenegildo. The two married in August of 1971 and quickly began building a life and family together. Her biggest accomplishment was being a nuturing mother. Celia had a long career as an amazing hairdresser. She gained a following of many clients and made everyone feel absolutely beautiful. She also taught many others the talent and influenced two of her children to follow in her footsteps. Celia will be remembered for her bright, vibrant personality and her meticulous, lovely appearance. She was also a woman of profound faith who was devoted to the Catholic church and treasured going to mass and personal prayer. Her beautiful life will leave a profound impact on those who knew her.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Celia on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402.
