Eugene Donald Manion Sr.

Eugene was known for his caring nature and was devoted to his family. He was an animal lover, especially for his pet dogs. Gene was a former United States Marine and also served as a police officer for many years.

Gene is predeceased by his parents John and Patricia [nee Blazis] Manion, wife Dolores, sons; Eugene Donald Jr and Keith Edward, daughters; Monica and Marisa, grandson Sean and brother John.

Gene will be missed by his loving children; Maeva (Fred) Barickman, Kevin (Kate) Manion, Mary (Russell) Allen, Maureen (Anthony Martinucci) Hirschberg, Margaret (Richard) Yawger, Matthew (Denise) Manion, and Michele (Kevin) Oldendorf, daughter-in-law Carole, former daughter-in-law Veronica, brother George, as well as many adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless other family and friends.

A visitation for Eugene will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. There will be a final visitation at the funeral home at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, March 1, 2023. A funeral mass will occur beginning at 10:00 am at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, 3318 Clarence Ave., Berwyn, IL 60402. A graveside service will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
