Today is your birthday, you would have been 56 . We took Aidan to go see you . He was so happy , could you see that ? Could you feel his Love ? I swear I could see the grass growing just as we sat there. I know it was you, you were happy cause your Aidan boy was there by you and you know how much he misses you and Loves you . I know you know how much you are missed and loved. You are always in our hearts.Please guide us to do what's right.

LOYALTY - true, dependable, devoted, trustworthy. This was Gilbert. We didn't sit and chat much but the respect(love) was always there. He touched many of us with his generosity. The few years he was with us he changed many lives including mine. Gilbert will continue to live on in the hearts of many for a very long time. He was a teacher of selflessness. I will remember his goodness and try to live by example until I pass this world.  Silvia

I've been sleeping like a baby my whole life, but over the last couple of days I haven't been able to shut my eyes. I feel tired during the day, but when it comes time to hit the pillow, I'm suddenly wide awake. I did my usual research, and what I found is that a recent tragedy will do that to someone. There's only one thing on my mind right now, and David, if this is how I feel right now, I can't imagine what you must be going through. The times I told you I loved your family, and how tight-nit, friendly, inviting and loving you all are.... I meant every word. Your father was one of the most honest men I've ever met, and man, did he have a way with words. The time I spent with him bedside, asking for more and more food and making the nurses laugh, that was priceless. And he never DID get my name right, but whatever, he's the ONLY person I'd let call me "Jose". I'm gonna miss him dearly, but it eases the pain knowing he left a great family that will reflect just how awesome he truly was.

Dear Ruiz Family,
Gilberto was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor.   He had the greatest smile that would brighten up any room.  The loss of a loved one is never easy but I hope you stay strong and never forget the beautiful memories he left behind. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Liz, We have lost contact for so many years, yet I have never stopped thinking about you and your family, and how you all were doing. I never knew Gilbert was so sick.  I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that one day you may find peace in life and know that he is in a better place with our dear Lord.
