Gustavo B. Carrillo,passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Gustavo was born in Jalisco, Mexico on October 22, 1937 to his parents Tomasa and Andres Carrillo. Loving husband of Maria Luisa, nee De Santiago. Beloved father of Gerardo (Lucero) Carrillo, Marisela (Raul) Carrillo-Aldrete, Jose Alonso (Sandy) Carrillo and the late Gustavo Carrillo Jr. and Carlos (Lynda) Carrillo. Cherished grandfather of Carlos Jr., Enrique, Lilliana, Gabriel, Sofia, Sara, Alejandro and great-grandfather of Caden, Eliana, Camilla and Cole. Dear brother of Enriqueta (the late Jesus), Leonor, Sister Belen, Manuela (Daniel) and the late Everardo (Josefina), Manuela (the late Feliberto), Ramiro (Altagracia), Ricardo (the late Maria), Rosendo (Consuelo), Ausalon, Graciela (Ramon) and half-brother of Felicitos (the late Enriqueta), twin siblings Guadalupe (Mariquita) and Mariquita (Merced). Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Gustavo was an avid Cubs fan. He played card games and board games. He was a man of his Catholic faith. He enjoyed his trips to his hometown in Jalisco, Mexico. Those who knew him, knew his witty sense of humor. He was devoted to his wife of 63 years and to his family.

Visitation Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402. Funeral service Wednesday, April 16, 2025 family and friends please gather at 9:00 a.m. at Mount Auburn Funeral Home. 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 600 W. 55th Street, LaGrange, IL 60525. Burial to follow at Mount Auburn Memorial Park in Stickney, IL.
