John J. Sharkey, 90, of Western Springs passed away July 3, 2016. Loving husband of Shirley nee Heckt; dear step-father of Jeannie (Jimmy) Scalzitti and Guy (Mary) duChatellier; cherished grandfather of Dana Scalzitti; fond cousin to Mary Jane Gasaway. John worked at Consolidated Freightway and was a proud member of Teamsters 710 for 37 years. Visitation Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave. Stickney. Chapel prayer service at 7:30 pm. Interment Private at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
