Maria is survived by her loving children; Enrique Lira, Leticia Machuca, Sandra Diaz, and Juanita Diaz, her beloved grandchildren; Maritza Ocampo, Saul Zaragoza, Jessica Barrera, Maurilio Barrera, Erika Barrera, Oscar Barrera, Jason Reyes Jr., Sirena Reyes, Evelyn Alvarez, Crystal Alvarez, Ruby Alvarez, Erik Alvarez, and will be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren; Adrian Diaz, Mabel Diaz, Leilah Salazar, Scarlett Orozco, and Aliyanna Muhammad. Maria is predeceased by her treasured son Ismael Diaz and her parents Esteban and Maria Trinidad Zaragoza.
A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 10:00 AM at St. Leonard's Church, 3318 Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402. A graveside service will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
