

Marshall proudly served in both the Illinois National Guard and United States Army, later going on to work for Central Decal in Burr Ridge for 52 years. Family was important to Marshall and he cherished time spent with his immediate and large extended family. The first to lend a helping hand, Marshall will be remembered for his kind and generous nature and for being a loyal friend and family member. An avid Chicago sports fan, he loved the White Sox and enjoyed watching classic movies - especially those featuring John Wayne and listening to music by Cal Tjader, Frank Sinatra, and Kenny Rogers.
Marshall is predeceased by five of his siblings; Phil, Jesse, Mary, John, and Joey.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife Ellen, his daughter Melissa (Gianni), grandchildren; Andrea (Harry), Vito, and Giovanni, great grandson James Marshall, siblings; Antoinette, Loretta, Lupe, and Alex, sister-in-law Vivian (Jay), brother-in-law Patrick (Janet) and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
A visitation for Marshall will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 6435 S. Kilbourn Ave.,, Chicago, IL 60629. A graveside service will occur Friday, March 3, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd.,, Elwood, IL 60421.
