

A Memorial Service will be held at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Military Honors and Prayers will begin at 6:45 pm.
Skee is survived by his brothers James and Thomas (Rita), as well as his many nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Joseph A. and Mary T. Rafinski, and his brother Joseph.
Skee attended Froebel Elementary School, graduating in 1958. He then attended Carter Technical High School which he graduated from in 1962.
Starting at the age of 15, Skee began professionally raising and racing pigeons throughout the US. He was also the founder and band leader of the popular late 60's - early 70's band, the Belvederes.
Skee bravely served in the US Army. During his service he was stationed in Germany and received a National Defense Service Medal. He was honorable discharged in 1967.
Skee was the founder, owner, and operator of RVR Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning and was also an active member of the Pipefitters Union Local 597.
Skee was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
