Betty Jean Groce

Betty was born July 12, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia to Herman and Frances Jones. She worked for various grocery stores as a head cashier and was also a great MaryKay Consultant. However, her most cherished job was raising her three sons and being a devoted and caring mother and wife.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mr. Marvin Groce; parents, Herman and Frances Jones and one son, Tim Groce.

Betty's life will forever be honored and cherished by her two sons, Dan Groce of Stockbridge, Georgia and Brian (Debbie) Groce of Newnan, Georgia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Azile Groce; siblings, Larry Jones and Linda Smith; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.

She will be deeply missed by many. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Betty on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Another visitation will occur Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately followed by Celebration of Life services at Ward's Fairview Chapel. Betty will be laid to rest at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
