Betty Marlene Nichols, age 88, of Stockbridge, GA passed away on September 25, 2019. She was born to the late Frank and Annie New in Atlanta, GA on March 27, 1931.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph V. Nichols (2004) and a loving mother to the late Patricia Smith Spears, the late Ralph Gerald Smith, Shirley (David) Cate, Susan (Robbie) Crowe and Steven Nichols.

She was a caring grandmother (Nanny/Granny) to Rhonda Mayes, the late Mark Cate, Jason Smith, Bonnie Lau and Jennifer Smith.

She was an adoring great grandmother to Angela Cambron, Beth Blevins, Sierra Cate, the late Ashton Michael Morris, Zoey Smith, Nathan Smith, Lily Lau, Lucy Lau and Ollie Lau.

Friends and family are invited to share their love and affection during a visitation on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 1 PM to 2 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home located at 376 Fairview Rd in Stockbridge, GA 30281. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 PM. Internment will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
