Carla was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 2, 1966 to the late Sallie Graves and Jessie Walker.
She attended Chapel Hill Elementary, graduated from Feldwood High School and received an associate degree in Criminal Justice at Atlanta Metropolitan College. She joined County Line United Methodist church at an early age, where she was a devoted member. Carla worked at UNITOG, where she retired when the company relocated. She later worked for Sylvan Cleaners until her health started to decline.
Carla kept her children active in sports. Because of this, she became a “Park Mom” at Adamsville Recreation Center. Traveling, fishing, attending car races (delta 500, dirt races, etc.), but spending time with her family and friends is what she enjoyed most.
Her mother, Sallie Graves; father, Jessie Walker; stepfather, Willie Graves; and maternal grandmother, Irene Woods, preceded her in death. Carla leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Ashley Smith and Jazmine Parham; two sons, Vincent Parham and Demarco Parham; four brothers, Alexis Langford, Kenny Graves (Dochea), Charlie Graves and Jessie Walker Jr.; three sisters, Bree Walker, Taffany Mills (Michael) and Emma Smith (Timothy); ten grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a long time devoted friend, Henry Stegall.
