

Celeste was born to parents Charles A. Donaldson, Sr. and Gloria Stinson on March 6, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from the Philadelphia Public School System. During the years of 1968-1974 Celeste had the opportunity to live in the Bahamas. Upon returning to Philadelphia she enrolled in the Community College of Philadelphia where she received her degree in Medical Technology. She would begin her medical career at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Chester, PA. In 1985, she married Stanley Wilson. When Celeste and Stan moved to Poughkeepsie, NY she enrolled in Mount Saint Mary College for Nursing. She would graduate from Mount Saint Mary College with a BSN in Nursing. Celeste was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. After graduation, Celeste and Stan journeyed to Atlanta, GA where Celeste began her Nursing Career at South Fulton Medical Center. She would later join the staff at Piedmont Hospital and retire after 13 years of dedicated service.
Celeste lived for her family. Her big heart and loving spirit has inspired, encouraged, supported, nurtured and enriched so many lives. God has called his earthly Angel home, for He has better plans for her.
Celeste is survived by her husband of 36 years, Stan Wilson; daughter, Ericka Washington and her husband Nick; grandsons, Isiah James Harrison, and Alex C. Harrison; mother, Gloria Stinson Cox; brother, Charles A. Donaldson, Jr. and his wife Lorenda; sisters, Sheryl Donaldson, Kim Bee and her husband Damon, Lisa Donaldson and her husband Derrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Celeste’s life is scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, Stockbridge, GA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Celeste’s life.
