

Chris is survived by her sister Louise Fawcett, 93, and Floyd of Stone Mountain, Ga.
She is also survived by her three children: Karleen Tinker McNabb and Mike of Smyrna, Ga; Judge Tinker and Linda of Woodstock, Ga; and Robin Tinker and Ann of Conyers, Ga.
Christine is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Michelle Tinker, Tara Wright, Lauren Hoang, Matthew Tinker, Rachel Tinker, Scott McNabb, Jeff McNabb, and Anna McNabb. She also is survived by her five great-grandchildren.
Chris was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Carl H. Tinker, her 2 brothers A J Tant and L E Tant, and her four sisters Thelma Saul, Flora Storey, Vera Brown, and Inez Hendricks.
Chris was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA. She graduated from Massey Business College and was a seminar coordinator for American Management Association in Orlando, FL.
In retirement, Chris loved volunteering in her community. She taught children's church for 9 years, lead Bible study classes, taught craft classes, learned how to play the organ at Cooper Music, performed ballroom dancing competitions at Arthur Murray Studio, and served in the volunteer positions of Social Programs & Hospitality Chair, Vice President and President of the Site Council at the Olivia Hayden Senior Center in Conyers, where she designed costumes and wrote skits, songs, and funny poetry for their senior citizens programs. Chris believed it was important to keep educating herself throughout her life and she encouraged others to do the same. She learned how to cut hair, took gourmet cooking classes, and she even took a Bartender's course. Chris was also the first person in her family to wear skinny jeans many years ago.
A celebration of Christine's life will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Following the celebration of life will be a graveside committal at 2:30 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Eastside Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA.
