Clyde Edwin Carter Sr. passed away on May 24, 2011. He was born October 9, 1926 and was 84 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Carter Ammons, father John E. Carter, his daughter Joanne Kent and a son Ricky Dickson.
Mr. Carter served in the U.S. Navy, was an Atlanta Police officer, and retired from Rich’s. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Carter, his brother Robert Carter, his children Clyde Carter Jr., Robert Carter, Thomas Carter, Tommy Batchelor, Charles Carter, Paulette Williams, Connie Bracken and Jennifer Laniewicz. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his dog Jack, The Thomas family, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00a.m. at Fairview Chapel at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, Stockbridge, GA.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in the memory of Clyde Edwin Carter, Sr.
