Edward Earl Rayfield, 79, of Decatur, GA passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home –Fairview Chapel at 11 am. Rev. Tim Lewis will be officiating with interment services to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Decatur, Ga.
Mr. Rayfield is a member of the Rehoboth Baptist Church. He worked at the Oakridge Y-12 National Security Complex and then went on to retire after 27 years from Delta Airlines as a machinist.
He is survived by his loving companion of 38 years, Marie Huey; son, Doug and Vicki Rayfield; daughter, Leigh Ann and Roger McCauley; brother, Clyde and Carol Rayfield; sisters, Reba and Burkett Cusick; Jean and Larry Duff; grandsons, Beau Rayfield, Brian Rayfield and Justin McGonigal; granddaughter, Amber and Rick Conlon; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Katelyn Rayfield, numerous nieces and nephews.
