Elaine Underwood Kolpak, age 73 of McDonough, GA, beloved wife for over 36 years to Thomas E. Kolpak, and daughter of Vivian Underwood and the late O.V. Underwood, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
Loving mother of Patrick Kolpak (Kim) and Robert Kolpak (Kristy). She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Maggie Kolpak, grandson, TJ Kolpak, brothers, Lamar Underwood (Sue), John Underwood (Barbara), Ken Underwood (Barbara), Darron Underwood, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.
Elaine enjoyed being the Operations Manager for Sunco Carriers for over 25 years. She was well known in the Atlanta area with her soft spoken no nonsense business demeanor; and she received the Fleet Manager of the year award from Sysco Foods.
She was a devoted caretaker to her mom, and cherished the memories spent with helping raise TJ.
She was an avid collector of Beanie Babies, loved flea market exploring, and was always ready to start the best fire in the fireplace.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation in intervals on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 10 am until 12 noon, where a funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel, Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281 with limited seating.
Burial will immediately follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
