It is with deep sorrow, yet joy, for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of Flora Dean Fields Dodd into the presence of the Lord on June 6, 2025, at the age of 106 years, 7 months, and 5 days.
Flora was born on November 1, 1918 to James Calvin Fields and Mary Alice Peek in Lithonia, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Toy Arthur Dodd.
Flora worked for 43 years in the printing industry. Her hobbies included cooking, crocheting, embroidering, quilting, playing board games and card games, growing beautiful flowers, travelling locally and internationally, attending church, and spending time with family and friends. Anyone who knew Flora, knew her deep love for Jesus. She joyously shared her testimony with every person she met.
Flora leaves behind her children, Randy (Sherri) Dodd and Jan (Lynnie) Williams; grandchildren, Heidi (Jarrett) Mixon, Autumn (Todd) Payne, Shanda Dodd, Cayden Dodd, and Blake Williams; and great-grandchildren Meikayla Mixon, Sidney Mixon, Latavia Mixon, and Dalton Payne; extended family members and numerous friends.
