Joe was born on June 21, 1925 in Hampton, Georgia to B. B. Smith and Emma Pearl Fields. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. Later in life, he owned a glass company named Store Fronts, Inc. until his retirement.
Joe loved the Lord and was a faithful member of New Testament Baptist Church. His favorite songs were "Where Could I Go But To The Lord," "I'm Getting Ready To Leave This World," "I Know A Man Who Cares" and " The King Is Coming."
His life will forever be remembered and cherished by his loving family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM. Please use your appointed time designated by her family.
Due to the COVID-19 regulations, the graveside service will be streamed LIVE for family and friends at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 via https://www.facebook.com/HAWFairview/.
The family will plan a Memorial Service later this year, after the restrictions have been lifted.
