James Allen Phagan was born on September 28, 1951 in Grady, Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia to William Jack Phagan and Katie Virginia Phagan.
He attended Towers High School and Dekalb Technical College. He was the state wrestling champion in 1967. He enlisted in the United States Air Force.
James was employed by Western Electric. He loved fishing and he appreciated all aspects of wildlife, especially snakes.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Jack Phagan and mother, Katie Virginia Phagan.
James' life will forever be remembered and cherished by his brothers, Jack Phagan and John Thedwick Phagan; uncle, John Harris; many cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life for James Allen Phagan will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
