John Edward Gibson Jr, 69, of Newnan, Ga passed away March 2, 2016. Services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Horis A.Ward Funeral Home-Fairview Chapel at 2pm. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.
John was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. He retired in 2015 from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after 22 years of service. He is survived and will be terribly missed by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and William Propes, and Trisha and Michael Rabold, and his 6 grandchildren, Amanda Crenshaw, Nikolas Propes, Ashton Propes, Aiden Propes, Zakary Propes and Wyatt Rabold. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Gibson Shepard and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, John Edward ‘Ed’ Gibson, Sr and Ruth Fincher Gibson, and his sister Diane Gibson Martin.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
