John S. McKinney age 82 of McDonough passed away Monday. Mr. McKinney was a long time member of Tyrone Christian Church and a veteran who honorably and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday July 21st in the chapel of Horis A. Ward-Fairview Chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Billy Rowe and Pastor Dan Roberts officiating. Interment to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Catherine McKinney. Daughter and son-in-law; Susan and James Bradford. Son and daughter-in-law; Mark and Janet McKinney. 6 grandchildren; Sean, Seth and wife Laree, Blake and wife Lindsay Bradford. Jamie and husband David Fuller,Ryan and Meagan McKinney. 3 great grandchildren;Tori and Alexis Fuller and Bailee Bradford. 2 sisters; Becky Payne and Bonnie and husband Larry Elliott. 1 brother; Wayne McKinney. He is preceded in death by his parents; Daniel and Leona McKinney, brother; Kenneth McKinney and sister; Phylis Burke. Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survived. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20th from 6-9pm. Horis A.
