Once upon a time, there was a baby girl named Journii Nicole-Symone Holcombe. She was sent to earth to live with her parents, Tiburs Holcombe and Jessica Minter-Holcombe. She had three brothers, Gabriel Minter, Mykeal Minter-Holcombe and Ashton Holcombe, and in a land far away, she had two sisters, Tyreama Holcombe and Ariana Holcombe. Everyone loved Journii so much. With Journii around, her family was full of happiness, joy and playful days. She was their little snuggle bunny.
One day, big news came to town from the royal announcer, Jeremy Minter. The King was going to have a ball! It was time for a new angel to be selected to watch over the family. Everyone was to have an opportunity to become the new angel. They were wild with joy! They would wear their most beautiful clothes and be dressed nice. Maybe the King would like them the most!
At Journii’s house, she now had to prove she was the one. Her brothers and sisters, wanted to be the new angel, as well. So did her parents, grandparents and godparent.
“You’re too young,” shouted one of her siblings. “You’re too little,” shouted another. Her parents marched into room and asked, “Just what do you think you are doing?” Journii replied, “I want to be the new angel.” Her parents yelled, “Oh no, you just got to Earth, you are not the one the King wants!”
Journii said to herself, “When they look at me, maybe they see a little one. However, I am not that way. And if I could, I WOULD go to the ball and become the new angel.”
Then - Poof! All of a sudden, in front of her was a fairy. “You called?” said the fairy.
“Did I?” said Journii. “Who are you?”
“Why, your Fairy Grandmother, Vivian Minter-Wynn, of course! I know your wish. And I have come to grant it.” “But…” said Journii, “my wish is impossible.” “Excuse me!” said the Fairy Grandmother in a huff. “Did I not just show up out of thin air?” “Yes, you did,” said Journii. “Then let me be the one to say what is possible or not!” “Well, I think you know I want to go to the ball, too.” She looked down at Journii. “But look at me.” “You are a bit of a little thing” said the Fairy Grandmother. “Even if I were bigger," said the girl, "I would have no way to get there.” “Dear me, all of that is possible,” said the Fairy. With that, she tapped her wand on Journii’s head.
At once, Journii was big enough. She was dressed in a beautiful pink and white gown.
“This is wonderful!” said Journii. “Who said I was done?” said the Fairy Grandmother. Just then, another Fairy Grandmother, Gail Holcombe, arrived and she tapped her wand on Journii. At once, a beautiful carriage came to be, with a driver, Logan Wynn and four white horses.
“Am I dreaming?” said Journii, looking around her. “It is as real, as real can be,” said the Fairy Grandmothers. At that moment, a fairy godmother, Misha Love, arrived and said, “But there is one thing you must know.” “What is that?” “You are only going to be like this on Earth for 27 days.” “Why?” Journii asked. “Because 27 is the number of a new angel. After 27 days, you will have to go to Heaven and watch over the family from afar. Everything on Earth will go back to how it was before you arrived.” On November 2, 2021, it had been 27 days and Journii’s time had come for her to go to Heaven. She knew they may be sad, but she would be there to watch over her family.
Journii now lives happily ever after with her King and plays in Heaven, while watching over her royal court, which includes her parents, Jessica Minter-Holcombe and Tiburs Holcombe; grandparents, Vivian Minter-Wynn (Logan), Gail Holcombe and Bobby Minter; siblings, Gabriel Minter, Mykeal Minter Holcombe, Ashton Holcombe, Tyreama Holcombe and Ariana Holcombe; godmother, Misha Love; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and family friends.
A visitation (masks required) for Journii will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, followed by a funeral service (masks required) at 6:00PM.
