Ken Ward

Ken graduated from Southwest Dekalb High School and attended college at Young Harris and Georgia State before joining the Army in 1958. His career included working for Liberty National Life Insurance and managing logistics for Hoyne Industries and Bosch.

After retirement, Ken and his wife, Peggy, moved to their farm in Carnesville, Georgia, where he enjoyed fishing and working the land. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was a great influence in many of their lives.

Ken is survived by; daughters, Kenli Holbrook of LaGrange, Georgia and Sandy (Dudley) Smith of Reidsville, North Carolina; step-daughters, Cindy (Kjel) Nore of Duluth, Georgia, Sharon (Bo) Black of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Mary Leigh (Bob) Casey of Dacula, Georgia. Kenneth is also survived by thirteen grandchildren as well as thirteen great-grandchildren.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ward and his stepdaughter, Vicki Ward.

A visitation for Ken will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel. A memorial service will occur Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM.
