Linda Ann Bales Reynolds, of Monticello, passed away on January 1, 2026. Born January 25, 1951, to Mary Ann Anthony and Lemie Bales, Sr., Linda was born in Athens and spent several years there as a child, later moving to Stockbridge with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bo Reynolds; her brother, Lemie Bales, Jr., and her beloved pet, Rusty.
A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Atlanta (Class of 1969), Linda proudly welcomed her daughter, Dawn, in 1970 — beginning the role she cherished most: mother, and later, grandmother and great-grandmother. Linda later married her husband Bo in 1978, and they enjoyed many years of marriage until his death in 2020.
Professionally, Linda built a long and respected career as Vice President of Home South Mortgage Company in Stockbridge, where she worked for more than twenty years. After retiring from the mortgage industry, she enjoyed peaceful days spent at her home on Jackson Lake, surrounded by family and sunshine, laughter, and good conversation.
In 2005, Linda and Bo moved to Ellijay, where she joined the Georgia State Parks Association. She served as a Manager at Amicalola Falls State Park until 2012. Linda made visitors feel welcome and helped families discover the beauty of Georgia’s outdoors. She and her husband also enjoyed serving as campground hosts for a few years, traveling all over the state in their RV. After the death of her husband, Linda relocated to Jackson Lake again to be close to her remaining family, where she enjoyed a slower pace and quiet days.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Harris Miles (Jud Kirksey) of Mansfield; granddaughter, Lindsey Brower of Mansfield; grandson, Joey Tinney (Holly) of Hillsboro; and three great-grandchildren: Hannah Tinney of Covington, and Eli Tinney and Ben Tinney of Hillsboro; two step sons, Clint Reynolds of Senoia, and Evan Nolan of McDonough, and a number of step-grandchildren. Also two sisters, Deborah Kelly of Covington and Vicki Amerine of Locust Grove, a number of nieces and nephews and their children, and a few special friends.
Linda will be fondly remembered for her love and pride of her family and her love of life.
