Luella Aldine (Smith) Bruce

Aldine grew up in Forsyth County, GA and lived most of her adult life in the Atlanta area. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Aldine loved the Lord, was an active member of Fairview Church of Christ. She began each day with her coffee and the Bible, she always commented that it was her favorite part of the day. Her second favorite part was her daily phone calls with her family. While she was able to see some often, others lived further away so those phone calls kept her up-to-date with their families and what was going on. She was loved by all who knew her as there was no way to resist her welcoming smile and positive outlook on life.

Aldine was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Bruce; her parents, Will and Lelia Belle Hyde Smith; her brothers: Alvin Smith, James Smith, Jewel Smith, Jerry Smith, and Jesse Smith. Her sisters: Edna Grant, Mamie Smith, Grace Smith, Montine Nix, and Pearl Latham.

She is survived by her brothers: Bill Smith and Mark (Barbara) Smith. Her sons: Terry (Linda) Samples, David Samples, and Gary Samples. Her daughters: Kathy Owens, Connie Moon, Jackie Spencer, Joan Samples and Tammy Buchanan. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shalena Samples Densmore, Reginia Samples, Amanda Hart, Travis Nichelson, Corey Moore, Kim Buchanan, Ashley Loredo, Dwight Turner, Nick Turner, Magan Moon, Melissa Fulton, Gary Bates, Steven Lee Cargle, Crystal Samples, Elizabeth Baker, Scottie Wilson and Stevie Wilson. Her children, grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren will always treasure the moments they had with her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. and

July 15th from 10 a.m.- 10:45 a.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
