Margaret was born in Buford, GA, one of eleven children, and grew up during the Great Depression, witness to countless changes and advancements in her 100 years. She was a fun-loving, adventurous, generous, dependable and supportive mother, and wife of McDowell Gainey, to whom she was married for 49 years. She provided a warm and welcoming environment for family and friends alike, and loved birds, gardening, cooking and travel.
Margaret is survived by daughters Lynne Graydon and Norma Wegeler, grandchildren Sunny Kirkland and Alex Graydon, and great-grandchildren Ayla Kirkland, Zorah Graydon and Lennix Graydon. Her surviving siblings are Franklin Moulder, Verlon Moulder and Wynette Sohail.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on June 25th, 2025 at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge,Georgia 30281, followed by a lunch reception at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
