Margie Jean Pattillo Lewis passed on August 7, 2013. Margie was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the parents of Harry Edward Pattillo and Jessie HalePattillo. She worked in some type of law enforcement for 47 years of her
life. The last 14 years were with the Henry County Police Department. She served her
county with pride and devotion. Margie was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, W.T Lewis of Covington; daughter, TammyRutledge and son in law, Sam Rutledge of Pike County; daughter, ShannonPowell and son in law, Gary Powell Jr. of McDonough; grandchildren,
Jessica Powell, Ashlee Powell, Gary Powell the 3rd, Hannah Joy Rutledge and Benjamin Rutledge; sister, Eleanor McKinney of Griffin; brother,Edward Pattillo of Griffin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. Margie was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Tinsley and brother in law Tommy Tinsley.
She wants everyone to remember her in bright spirits. Her wishes were for everyone to wear red. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 until service time.
