Marquis "Chad" Jackson

Marquis Kyle Jackson was born on March 20, 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia to Nathaniel Jackson and Jacquelyn Rice Jackson. Mark was raised in Ellenwood, Georgia and attended Gordon High School.

Mark answered the call to serve the Lord at a very young age and joined the Jackson family home church – Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, located in the County Line-Ellenwood Community.

He was a hard and dedicated worker, retiring in December 2022 as a heavy equipment operator for Dekalb Watershed Management. A career he began in March 2005. Over the years, he obtained his CDL and several on the job certificates.

Mark was united in Holy Matrimony to Scarlette Andrews on September 19, 2008. He loved his family and loved celebrating life. He was an amazing man and enjoyed baking, grilling and TikTok.

His life will forever be honored and cherished by his loving wife, Scarlette Andrews Jackson; father, Nathaniel Jackson; mother, Jacquelyn Rice Jackson; children, DeAngelo Andrews, Kezmond Andrews, Marquis Goggins, Simone Willis, Paris Hornsby and Marquia Jackson; grandchildren, Iyanna Andrews, Nuria Sanaa Andrews, Niassa S'ria Curry and Layla Hutchison; siblings, Jonathan (Tracy) Jackson, Timothy Jackson, Natalie Jackson, David (Yesha) Jackson and Nathaniel (Letoya) Jackson, Jr.; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and family friends.

A visitation for Mark will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00AM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel.
