Martha Oliver

Martha Elizabeth Oliver, age 74, of Ellenwood, GA passed away on August 5, 2019. She was born to the late Henry and Mary Alice Gilbert in West Point, GA on May 17, 1945. She was a decorated teacher for 44 years. She will be missed by all who know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Jesse H. Oliver, and her two brothers; Walter Gilbert and Roy Gilbert.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons; James Oliver and David (Marsha) Oliver, her seven grandchildren; Samantha Pittman, Damon Pittman, Delaina (Nick) Thornton, Serina (Alston) Goode, Trey Horn, Taylor Horn, and Mareli (MAR-LEE) Oliver, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will be received for a visitation on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home located at 376 Fairview Rd in Stockbridge, GA. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
