Marvin C. Lanier

Carl Lanier, age 66, of Stockbridge, GA died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born in Atlanta, GA to the late James K. Lanier and Vernell Fain Baldwin Lanier. He was also preceded in death by his one true love and wife of 25 years, Connie Lanier. Carl was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, volunteer fireman with Station 6 in Henry County, worked with Eastern Airlines for many years, retired manager with APAC Industries, and a member of Henry Baptist Church. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.

Carl is survived by his mother: Nell Lanier, Griffin, GA; children: Missy (Alex) Hayes, McDonough, GA; Cathy (Bryan) Perry, McDonough, GA; Mendy (Brad) Williams, Locust Grove, GA; Christen Lanier (Chris) Martin, Youngsville, LA; siblings: James K Lanier, Jr, Byron, GA; Nancy Norris, Fayetteville, GA; Mary Ann Clay, Fayetteville, GA;

Karen Lanier, Hendersonville, NV; grandchildren: Christopher, Conner, Chandler, Carter, Breeana, Skyler, Bo Christopher, Brendan and Bralynn.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, April 18, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
