Mary Ann married John Thomas Carden on October 8, 1966. She was a loving wife and mother. As a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mary enjoyed serving the Lord and those around her. She also owned and operated a daycare center and in her retirement years was an avid traveler.
Mary Ann is survived by her son John David Carden, daughter Tracey and Alan Smithwick, sister Sarah Buice, brother Larry Johnson, grandchildren Heather Hampton and Brandon Carden, great-grandchildren John Carden, Hailey Carden, Alexa Carden and Wade Hampton and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation of family and friends will be held for Mary on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Rd Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. An additional visititation will occur Friday, October 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life that will be held in Ward's Chapel. A graveside committal service will also occur Friday, October 22, 2021 at approximately 3:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
