She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Col. James N. Peyton, 331st commander of the 502nd Bomb Group, Aug. 20, 1943, in Winston Salem, N.C. She graduated from Largo High and retired from Reliance Electric in Athens Ga.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Boggs II, Hampton Ga; a daughter Becky Smith, Roswell Ga; a son Jimmy Smith, Rosman NC; a brother James R. Peyton II, Clearwater Fla; and a granddaughter Adrianne Smith, Atlanta; She also is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Rd., Stockbridge, Ga. 30281
The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home Chapel, with the Rev. Andy Mason officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Cemetery.
