Robert H. Hicks, Jr. age 88 of Stockbridge, GA., passed away on December 17, 2011. He was born May 25, 1923 in Dalton, GA. Son of the late Robert H. Hicks, Sr., and Vesta Hunsucker Hicks. Mr. Hicks was retired after a long career with Georgia Power and he served his country in World War II as a member of the U.S. Army Corp. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Florence H. Hicks. He is survived by his daughters; Brenda ( David) Russell, Barbara Jones, son; Byron L. ( Cynthia) Hicks, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers; Ralph ( Myrl ) Hicks, and Larkin Hicks. Funeral service for Robert will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Forest Park. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
