Rodney Lee Waters

Rodney was born February 7, 1956 in Atlanta, GA to Mary and the late Roy Homer Waters. He married the love of his life, Mrs. Janis Waters on April 9, 1976. Rodney was a loyal husband and a loving father to two beautiful daughters. In February of 1990, he began his career at Automotive Precision Machinery, Incorporated, where he served for 31 years. He was a hardworking, very head-strong man who enjoyed the simplicities of life. Rodney was also a loving grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. He will be certainly missed by all who knew him.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Roy Homer Waters. He leaves to honor his memory, mother, Mrs. Mary E. Waters; a devoted wife of 45 years, Mrs. Janis L. Waters; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Landers (Bobby) and Ms. Rebecca Waters; two grandchildren, Ryan and Kimberly Landers; one great grandson, Ryan Landers, Jr.; three siblings, Mr. Ray Waters (Crystal), Mrs. Jane Bergeron (Mark), and twin, Mr. Ricky Waters (Angela); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation for Rodney will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will occur immediately after at 1:00 PM in Ward’s Chapel. A graveside inurnment is to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
