Sandra Faye Coy

She was born on March 12, 1942, to Loren and Nell (Worthy) Stokes in Atlanta, Ga.

She was united in marriage to Tommy Thompson on August 13, 1958, in Atlanta, Ga. They were married for 37 glorious years. She then married Devon Coy on Dec. 31, 1996 in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Sandra always considered children an important part of her life. She taught in and then managed a KinderCare Learning Center for many years. Later she was a Para-Pro in the Clayton County School system and worked with special needs children at LoveJoy High School in Jonesboro, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Nell Stokes.

She is survived by her spouse, Devon Coy of Rosebud; children, Rhonda (Thompson) Cain and husband Marty of Flowery Branch, Ga., Tommy Craig Thompson and Cheryl Humber of Atlanta, Ga. and Terrell Todd Thompson and wife Tammy (Wethington) of Stockbridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Manley Thompson and wife Sara of Stockbridge, Ga., Tyler Thompson and wife Rachel of Stockbridge, Ga., Holly Garland and husband Bailey of Barksdale Air Force Base, La. and Grant Thompson and wife Carson of Dahlonega, Ga.; and great-grandchidlren, Hunter, Charlotte and Tucker Thompson.
