Stephen Eugene Newton, age 76 of Atlanta Georgia, passed away June 18, 2017 at St. Joseph’s hospital. Services will be held on July 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Fairview Memorial Gardens 376 Fairview Road in Stockbridge Georgia, with Pastor Brad Ruthledge officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens Stockbridge GA., 30281. A native of DeKalb County, Steve worked in the concrete business many years. He was a Baptist by faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his Son and Daughter-in-Law, Tim and Charlene Newton of Covington GA., Son, James Newton of Flowery Branch, Son and Daughter-in-Law, Dan and Beth Newton of Norcross GA., Daughter and Son-In-Law, Gina and Jeff Statille of New Jersey, Sister and Brother-In-Law, Judy and Mac Clonts of Hartwell, seven Grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
