

Bunny is survived by her children, Linda Henderson (m. Herschel Henderson) and Carol Hemmer; and her grandchildren, Ed Henderson, Christina Maxsom, Michelle Borrelli, Nichole Oddo, Jenna Yount, and Scott Hamblin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Rossi; her siblings, George Barron and Patricia Rodinsky; and her daughter, Nancy Hamblin.
Bunny was born on April 11, 1925 in Alameda, CA to George and Ila Barron. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1943. She married Lewis James “Jim” Rossi, the love of her life, in 1947. After getting married, Bunny began working for Stockton Unified School District as a telephone operator. Over eight years, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home and built their lives in Stockton, CA. Her children remember her as a devoted mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Bunny was accomplished at athletics, and played second base for the Stockton Tommies. She was an avid sports fan who was passionate about the San Francisco 49ers.. She was a dedicated bowler and often spent time with friends at Pacific Avenue Bowl.
A viewing is scheduled for Monday, December 21st from 3-7pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, with a rosary at 6pm. Due to attendance restrictions, anyone wishing to attend should use the outside viewing window. A private burial will follow on December 22nd, and a Celebration of Life will be held in April 2021.
