Arturo Perez Aldava blessed the world with his arrival on December 22, 1961 in Stockton, California and was called home to heaven to reunite with his father, Jesse Aldava and brothers Gabriel and Juan Aldava on June 20, 2021.
He lived a simple but admirable life whose memorable stories will be shared with generations to come. Being born into a tribe consisting of 5 young boys and being the second to youngest offered him opportunities to grow adventurous and resourceful while surrounded with love and protection. While growing his own family and home, Arturo spent 30 years working for Manteca Unified School District, where he not only offered his hand and back to better a learning environment but also an ear to many kids who knew him as Mr. Aldava. As a die-hard Los Angeles Lakers, Rams and Dodger fan, he would chant proudly in support of his teams and refute other arguments in a playful manner. He left us with memories of tradition, lessons of hard work, music appreciation, loyalty and most importantly the value of family and faith. Family is everything and he worked hard for his family. His laughter was contagious, and he taught many people how to roll with life’s punches. His encouragement, grit, and invitation into his family will be the staple of tradition that will forever be our families everlasting legacy.
Arturo is survived by his high-school sweetheart and wife, Phyllis Aldava, children, Serena, Arturo and Ariana Aldava and his two grandchildren Logan Lewis and Amelia Lopez. He is also survived by his loving mother, Virginia Aldava and remaining eldest brothers, Michael and Andrew Aldava.
