

The passing of Charles H Bloom on December 2, 2014 was with his family. He was born January 26, 1922 to Sam and Ruth Bloom in San Francisco, Ca. His family moved to Stockton in 1934 and the resided here from then with his brothers Allen (Francis) and Donald (Alyne). Charles attended Weber School, Stockton High School and The College of the Pacific. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army air force.
Upon returning he resumed his education and where he met Carolyn Williams and they married in 1947. They had three sons Ronald, Gary and Bruce. They gave us our daughters-in-laws Bonnie, Kelly and Lauri. Our grandchildren Andy, Scott, Molly, Kristen, Brad and Gregory. They were very much his most loved possessions.
He pursued the construction industry as his career and was employed by Shepherd and Green, a, major construction company, for 17 years before starting his own company; Chas H. Bloom Co. /Bloom Construction Co. His sons were his partners and best friends.
The social organizations he belonged to and enjoyed the camaraderie’s of the members are The Family of San Francisco, Stockton Golf and Country Club, The Old California Club of Monterey, Monterey Peninsula Golf and Country Club, Yosemite Club, The Silver Wings, The DFC Society, American Legion and V.F.W.
He cherished the honor, opportunity for time he served on The University of The Pacific’s board of Regents and he also will miss his two secondary loves , flying and golf both that he enjoyed for some sixty years.
Charles was pre-deceased by his loving wife Carolyn and their three sons Ronald, Gary and Bruce.
