Delfine Consuelo McBride

Delfine C. McBride passed away peacefully on Feb. 16th surrounded by family and friends. A long term California resident, she was born in Modesto on Dec. 24, 1933 and raised in Stockton. Her final residence was Castro Valley where she lived for a number of years. A graduate of St Mary’s High School in Stockton, she went on to complete a degree in Cosmetology. During her career as a professional hair stylist, she was co-owner of a number of different hair salons and proud owner of her very own business, “Define’s Coiffeurs” Delfine will be remembered most for her kindness, sophistication and independent spirit. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob McBride, her mother Carlota Rosales, father Joe Constancio, sister Cora Galaviz, nephew Albert Galaviz Jr, great nephews, Eric Guillen and Sean Galaviz. She is survived by her sister Annie Zavala Hernandez, brother-in-law Albert Galaviz, nieces Erlinda Galaviz and Dolores Zavala, nephews Ruben Galaviz, Florencio “Larry” Zavala, and Joe Zavala, great nieces, Jessica Enos, Christine Galaviz, Danielle Galaviz, great nephew Jesus Guillen, their families and children and supportive and loving friends. Visitation will be held on Monday February 23, 2015 from 2:00 PM–6:00 PM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton, CA 95202. A Rosary service will be held at the chapel following the visitation. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tues., Feb. 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, CA 95204. She will be laid to rest next to her mother and sister at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Harding Way at Cemetery Lane, Stockton, CA 95201. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dusty’s Paws Rescue 4237 Moreland Drive, Castro Valley, CA 94546.
