

Eleanor Mary Lucchesi passed on peacefully July 21, 2015, with her family at her side. Eleanor was the daughter of Augustino & Irene (Bottini) Lagomarsino, immigrants from Genoa, Italy. They resided in the Morada Community where Eleanor spent most of young years.
She married Frank Lucchesi from the East country area of Stockton, Ca. in 1943.
They married at Saint Michaels Church of Morada and resided in the Lockeford community where they raised a family of three children. Eleanor was well known for her fabulous cooking of which she shared with many family and friends. Her home was always open to a hungry tummy. Elly (as many of called her) was also an avid gardener and graceful dancer. Elly and Frank enjoyed many nights on the dance floor over their 57 year marriage. Elly also assisted Frank in becoming a successful Farmer by handing all book keeping for the large production of asparagus. Elly had many lifetime friends that she kept close. Her best friend in later years was the lovely Kay Cecchini who is now deceased.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Frank Lucchesi (2000) and sister Ester Nave (2010). She is survived by her three children, Francis Christensen (husband, Jim), Frank Lucchesi (wife, Doreen), and Donald Lucchesi (and Lynne). She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, in age order, Jimmy Christensen, Wenona Lucchesi, Naomi Lucchesi, Donald Lucchesi, and Danny Ray. Eleanor has 2 great grandchildren, Jude Pike and Vincent Pike. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
The family would like to thank Eleanor’s friend and caregiver Terry Rivera for her thoughtful and caring manner she showed Elly over the past few years. You will never know how much it meant to all of us knowing Mom was in such good hands.
