

Faye M. Wakefield passed away peacefully in Stockton on February 2, 2012. Faye was born in Colony, Oklahoma on March 22, 1921 to John and Sadie Curry. After completing business college in Oklahoma Faye moved to California where she met and married Buford Wakefield on October 15, 1949. She worked as a bookkeeper for Carden School and T.A. Ross Collections for many years. She loved shopping, camping, cooking, making quilts, reading, canning and making jelly. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. Faye helped make a lot of camping memories for her family and friends. She was baptized in the Church of Christ at a young age and continued attending the Stockton Church of Christ until she was physically unable to attend. She was preceded in death by her husband Buford F. Wakefield who passed away February 8, 2002; her twin Ray Curry and sister Lucy Golden. Faye is survived by her daughters Sandy Youngblood (Gene) and Pam Farmer (Lloyd); grandchildren Craig Youngblood (Michelle), Amber Greenwood and Michelle Franklin (Matthew); great grandchildren John and Carter Franklin and Blake and Kenzie Youngblood. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 4-8 pm in the chapel of Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California St. Memorial Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home.
