Francisco Gomez Gil

Loving Husband of Stella P. Gil of 40 years. Loving brother of Columba Gil, loving father of Marina Vargas, Columba Rosas (Manuel), step father of Paul; Vargas (Ann), Rachel Vargas, Theresa Vargas-Baker (Charles). Loving father of Bertha Pineda, Irma Castro, Laura Samora, Francisco Gil Jr., Sergio Gil and Edward Gil of Mexico. Francisco was employed as a laborer for Tri Valley as a Label Machine Operator for many years before retiring. He also belonged to the Local Union 601. Francisco loved going to Reno and sports. Soccer, boxing, football and baseball. He loved spending time in his yard and working on his cars. He also loved hanging out with family and friends making everyone laugh. Francisco left behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a viewing, Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N California St. Stockton, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 beginning at 1:00 pm at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Harding Way and Cemetery Lane in Stockton.
