Frank Zavala Villanueva entered this world on August 21, 1931 and departed on August, 17, 2024. As a young man Frank served our country honorably in the Korean War as a medic earning the rank of Sergeant and a Bronze Star for his valor. Following, he worked relentlessly as a truck driver most of his adult life. He moved through life learning from earlier experiences and growing as a spouse, father and grandparent. However, Dad would have been the first to state he was not perfect. He was a proud father to 11, grandfather to 23, great grandfather to 20 and great great grandfather to 2. He regularly encouraged his children to, “Enjoy your lives.”
Living at The Oaks, Dad made new friends with whom he enjoyed their company and who were critical to his happiness in the final period of his life. Particularly, he loved that he was well taken care of by his children Debbie Martin, Greg and Marian Lindo, Felicia Morrison, Anita Grounds, and Frank Villanueva Jr and The Oaks staff. Frank Jr. recently commented that, “We loved that little guy.” Dad was much loved and will be sincerely missed.
