John was born and grew up in Stockton. He passed away on January 16 in a tragic fire at age 51. John touched the lives of many and will leave an everlasting mark in our hearts. He was kind and generous and helped many with his kind heart and generosity. He was preceded in death by his parents Barney Sr. and Betty Dougherty. He is survived by his 3 brothers, Barney Jr.(Louise), James, and Mike (Thelma), and sister, Margaret, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncle and many friends, all who dearly loved him and will miss but never forget him. All are invited to a Memorial Service to gather and honor John's life on February 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Frisbie, Warren and Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California St. Stockton, CA 95202.
