Josephine "Pepa" Ambriz of Stockton, loving mother and longtime Stocktonian, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021. Pepa was born in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico on May 7, 1943. She was the
daughter of Nicolas Medina (deceased) and Agripina Medina (deceased) of Stockton. Brothers and sisters included: Leno Medina (deceased), Jesse Medina (deceased), Trina Frausto (deceased), Joe Medina, Aggie Kessell, Eddie Medina, and Nicolas Medina (deceased).
She married Augustine Ambriz and had five children: Alfred (Nancy deceased), Gary (Dianne), Eric (Rachel), Daniel (deceased), and Audrey (Chris). She had 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was a kind, generous, and loving mother. She was always grateful for her family and life. She was dedicated to church and taught by example to love and be kind to others, especially those in need. She loved traveling and taking drives to the Mokelumne River. She had a green thumb and every piece of plant
or flower grew wherever she planted it. She leaves her dogs Cisco and BarbaraLou.
Funeral services with a rosary and mass at 10:00 a.m. will be held on Thursday,
December 30, 2021 at St. Bernadette’s Church in Stockton. Celebration of life
after mass in the hall.
