

Born in Michoacan, Mexico, she came to the United States with her family and settled in Stockton, California.
She graduated from Edison High School and Stockton College.
She was married to her husband Rudolph (Toby) Franco for 44 years. They had two children, Theresa of Stockton and Richard (Greg) of Rancho Mirage.
She worked for a short time at Centro Mart and was primarily a homemaker throughout her marriage.
She loved traveling and traveled through Mexico, Italy, and made several trips to Las Vegas. She rooted for the Los Angeles Dodger's and Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph, her parents Juan and Eriberta, and her sister Adela. She is survived by her children, Theresa and Richard. She is also survived by her two brothers, Salvador (Jane) Lopez of Lodi and Andrew Lopez of Stockton.
Her children would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers and med technicians at Brookdale Kettleman Lane for the excellent care she received there. She loved the staff very much.
We would also like to express our thanks to Hospice of San Joaquin for the care they provided our mother towards the end of her life.
A visitation for Leonides will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10am to 11am, followed by a memorial service from 11am to 11:30am at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton, California. A graveside service will follow at 12pm at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California. Reception will immediately follow graveside service at DeYoung Memorial Chapel.
