Linda Benavides-Galindo

Linda Benavides-Galindo was born on May 28, 1957, in Brownfield, TX. She lost her battle with cancer on October 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Galindo Jr., son, Vincent Maahs Sr. and parents, Salvador and Maria de Jesus Benavides, sisters, Virginia and Isabel. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, which included family gatherings, Santa Cruz family gambling, and Disneyland trips. She graduated from Humphreys College with a cum laude bachelor's degree to support her teaching of young children. She retired from Early Head Start due to her illness. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Galindo, grandsons, Vincent Maahs, Jr. and Ernesto Maahs, siblings, Margaret, Stella, Sylvia (Joe), Yolanda, Salvador (Irma), and brother-in-law, Anthony Santa Cruz. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 2-6 pm followed by a 6 pm Rosary at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St. Stockton. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Linus Catholic Church, 2620 S. B. St. Stockton. Followed by a committal at Cherokee Memorial Park.
