Manuel was born on November 14, 1936 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Abdon Leaños and Leonar Garcia. He is the oldest of ten children.
At the age of 23 Manuel met and married the love of his life Vicenta Devora. Manuel and Vicenta were married for over fifty years. Happily married together, they welcomed eight children. Welcoming fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Manuel retired from Del Monte Cannery Company. He was a devoted Catholic.
Manuel Leaños Garcia will be remembered as a kind, humorous and generous father who loved and encouraged his family and friends.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a rosary to follow at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main Street, Stockton, California. A final resting place will take place at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
