Martha Valdez

Martha Valdez, 79 passed away on April 5, 2016. She was the youngest of 5 children, born in Del Rio Texas, her family relocated to Stockton when she was a young girl. She attended Franklin High School, and Stockton College. She lived in Stockton, and was a retired pharmacy technician. Martha was a proud Mother of 5 children. She had a big heart and a giving spirit with great character and morals that have been passed on to her family to this day.

She survived by her loving husband Lawrence Valdez, brother Zaragoza Hidalgo, and children Linda Altares, Roy (Velon) Alvarez, Rose (Michael) New, Eleanor (Michael) Wood, Joseph Alvarez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Martha is preceded in death by her parents Alejandro and Manuela Hidalgo, her siblings, Louis Hidalgo, Estella Ruiz, Olivia Orosco.

Family and friends are all invited to remember the life our beloved Martha. A visitation will be held at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California St., Stockton on Monday April 18, from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm, followed by at memorial service at 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2220 W Alpine Ave, Stockton, on Tuesday April 19, at 10:00 am. Final resting place will be Stockton Rural Cemetery.
